How we use other people’s forecasts
Arena reads reputable prediction desks as research, the same way any analyst reads the field before forming a view. What we publish is our own: our reasoning, our call, our record. Nobody else’s prediction is ever presented as Arena’s.
Several independent forecasts, not one
Where a game is previewed by more than one serious outlet, Arena reads several rather than leaning on a single site, so that a lone strong opinion does not quietly become our position.
Official and primary information first
League and club communications, official availability reports and published statistical references carry more weight than any secondary preview, because they are the material everyone else is working from.
Read, not extracted
Sources are read within their terms. Arena runs no automated extraction against sites that prohibit it, and does not reuse anyone's copy, tables or graphics commercially. Access method is recorded per source.
Recorded, then set aside
Each source is logged with its name, the date it was checked and a one-line summary of its leaning in our words. That log is published with the prediction so a reader can see the research behind it.
No manufactured consensus
Arena never states a consensus percentage, a tally of experts or an aggregate confidence figure it did not genuinely compile. If only one source previewed a game, the prediction says exactly that.
